Furniture stores offer armchairs, side tables, sofas, credenzas and other furniture pieces. Pick based on the design style of your existing furniture. The main focus should be to pick what goes with your current setup. For example, Black steel and glass coffee square table would complement white sofa setup, wood furniture pieces and shelves would go well with wood furniture of the same finish etc.

4. Fill up the empty floor spaces

Rugs make excellent floor coverings and make the floor more ‘occupied’ without much investment. The room corners make perfect places for lamps, planters, side tables, credenzas and other decorations while the center of the room can use a large rug and a coffee table. The sides of your sofas can be decorated with side tables with a plant, vase or other decorative piece on top.

A TV set or a sound system can turn your living room into a home theatre or a dancefloor. A TV set easily becomes the centerpiece of your living room decor, and hence should be accented with a credenza or a specialized TV stand. Flatscreen Wall-hanging variety of TVs should also be accented properly with decorations such as credenzas, side tables or plants under them. Wood furniture generally goes well under Wall-fixed TVs.
