Why is it that the interior design to decorate your bedroom has to have such a complex layout? Without the aid of a designer it may seem like options are limited to squeezing in a bed but it doesn’t have to always be that way. Hint: don't overlook insignificant seeming things such as the door, window and sills. While smaller bedrooms or larger ones, are personal choices with the designer and the owner of the interiors. Some consider smaller bedroom interiors better due to less wastage of money furnishing a room with no guests. While to some, it is the most important part of their routine where they want a spacious layout design. So depending on your preference, here are a few tips on how to decorate your bedroom interior without a designer:

1. Simplify the layout design

There isn’t a magic trick to the layout design of the small bedroom. There’s usually an obvious main wall to decorate the bed with, while certain wacky layout designs like floating the bed frame in the middle of the room or at an angle in the corner are options too, it's usually not a great way to decorate. The usual designer tactic also suggests placing the bed in the center of the main wall, rather than pushing one side up against the adjacent wall to have effective layout design.

2. Daring Dark Interiors

There are no limitations to whites or neutrals when it comes to the wall color and interiors of a bedroom. The intention of a bedroom interior is to relaxation, and biologically speaking, the darker the surroundings, the more restful your sleep will feel. Never painting rooms in a dark color designs are a thing of the past. It's better to decorate accordingly and embrace the size and moodiness of a space and even play into it. Painting a room a charcoal gray/navy blue to match the door or window frames can give a modern feel.

3. Bring in the Light and the Greens

Whether you decorate with a moody hue or stick to a crisp pale shade, adding plenty of light sources such as an open terrace door, clerestory windows are key to keeping the interiors feeling fresh. Don’t forget to add some life to your space. There’s no reason houseplants can be used to decorate should be kept out of the bedroom.

4. Choose accents for fenestration

People think it’s calming, and minimalism is all the rage now, but sleeping in an all-white room with a merged in door or window can feel subconsciously depressive. Generally cooler colors in a bedroom—blues and grays as opposed to warm tones are considered a radical approach with designers. Topped off with accents on the entrance door. Everyone would be a little happier if they had some pops of color in their bedrooms, on the door or window frames.
